Keating Estates

We are so happy to have chosen Keating Estates to sell our property, from the beginning to the end, all staff showed attention and motivation in selling our home, which we hadn't had with our previous agents in the area. To put this into perspective, within a week of listing, they had secured more viewings than their competitors had arranged in over 12 weeks of being locked into a contract. Keating don't lock you into a contract and therefore are a lot more motivated to sell.

Everyone at Keating is professional, friendly and understanding. Biggest thanks go to our excellent sales negotiator Christiaan, future vendors would be lucky to have him sell their property, and also thank you to Chloe for helping us progress the sale efficiently. By far the best agents in Clapham/Brixton!

Christiaan has been very helpful with our house search. He showed us a variety of different places, kept us well informed and offered the right level of contact and follow up. He contacted us early about new potential places and viewings allowing us to fit the house search well into our work and family schedule. Once we found a place of interest he offered us second viewings and and kept us in the loop as to how the offer process was going. I would highly recommend him.

My experience with the Keagting agents has been positive they kept me up to date on all aspects of the sale as it was happening in real time. As the owner of a rented property without their regular feedback it may have taken longer to complete the sale especially when you don't live at an address but need to sell it. We could not have been happier with our dealings with Keating Estates - not only did they find us a great property, they also helped us in every way throughout the daunting property search process. Sales Negotiator Christiaan Olivier could not have been better; he personally showed us an array of properties which helped us make up our minds regarding the type of property we actually wanted. Christiaan kept in constant contact with us throughout, each week he had new properties ideas - be it property style or location - always with detailed printed information for each property to share which was unique amongst another estate agency we dealt with. In the end it was this professionalism and attention that helped us secure the type of property we were looking for.

Rented a flat for two years from Keating. As soon as I moved in, constant repairs were needed throughout the duration of our tenancy (leaking sink that flooded the bathroom - which took months to repair, mould issue throughout the whole property that never got addressed, issues with the hot water that never really got fixed and a new boiler that needed fitting left us with a cupboard in the middle of our living room for ages).

On top of this, on move out we had deposit deductions for additional cleaning when I'd already paid for a professional move out clean and have photos showing that the property was flawless (all because I didn't use their partnered cleaners) and was charged for new curtains (that the mould had damaged due to them not resolving the mould issue) and for the removal of a small bamboo trellis on the balcony, which I can't disagree with as it wasn't there upon move in (if they actually removed it). However, upon going back to the property to pick up a load of post that the new tenants asked me to pick up (3 months after I moved out) the curtains that I was charged to replace were still there and the trellis I paid to remove was still there.

They will squeeze every penny out of you, just because they can. The trellis takes 2 minutes to remove so there's no excuse that they haven't had time etc as they had time to fit new taps for the new tenant. Its evident in my communications with the deposit team that they are more biased to the loyalty of the landlord than their tenants as there was no offer to check with the landlord as to the change in curtains or removal of trellis, just excuses to back up the landlord.

We've been looking to buy and Christiaan at Keatings has been great to deal with. He's always been very responsive and tried hard to help us understand our preferences.

Christiaan was an absolute gem - by far our favourite estate agent! He would always share a story about the house before we walked in, helping set the scene. Once inside, he was great at showing us the highlights but then leaving us in peace to go and explore on our own. You never felt like he was in a rush - he was always ready to answer any questions we had, and take his time to really understand what it was we wanted from a house.

Brilliant follow up after each viewing as well. He would remember who we were and what we were after, and you didn't feel like he was just firing off a blanket email that he'd already sent to 100 other people. He was in touch the perfect amount, not bothering us every day, but not disappearing either. An overall excellent experience with Christiaan and Keating Estates.

Brought a place through them earlier this year and would really recommend going through them. The professionalism of the website actually matches their attitudes and approach. Had no issues either with the surveyors or solicitors they recommended. Something for buyers and sellers, bought one of the lower cost properties on their website and unlike some estate agents were extremely respectful, showing up on time and knowledgeable/ enthusiastic about properties they showed me.

You may be thinking well thats the least id expect but honestly that was not a universal experience of doing viewings c.400k mark had some estate agents turn up late, appear burdened by showing us around or clearly this was a property they didnt have hopes for. Toby was specific agent who showed us round and honestly if i was to sell property would look to them as its how i would want someone selling the property. Buying is stressful but this lot are very good.

We couldn't recommend Keating highly enough. Gemma, our agent was helpful and communicative throughout the process of buying our property, and Grace was incredible at guiding us through the purchase stages. They made the challenges of buying a home feel much simpler and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Searched for keatings number online and this review came up 'totally incompetent, high turnover of staff etc'- inspired me to get a qype account for the sake of balance. Rented through these guys years ago and never had a complaint then two years ago Nick and Shane(?) sold me a house again really professional and helpful and now, as my wife needs to take the train from Kings Cross for work we've had to rent up North [how expensive!?! :(] so let our place out through them I've seen them from 3 different sides now and cannot fault them I have dealt with a lot of estate agents over the years who confirm the perception these guys different breed decent (human) people and a real service.

I don't get the turnover thing same people who rented me a flat 8 yrs ago are still there? Go figure. Anyway, enough: Don't be afraid to use these guys they are the best of the bunch as far as i can tell.

We had a very bad experience with Keating Estates. We wont ever be going back to them.

The WORST agency ever! Very friendly until you sign a contract, then absolutely UNRELIABLE, DECEITFUL, RUDE. the property management is rubbish, very good at asking for money, not so good at fixing stuff. TO BE AVOIDED!

Nick Bauer at Keatings Clapham found me my flat in Clapham in May last year. Totally genuine bloke - I looked at 30 flats with other estate agents and was getting despondant, but Keatings were such a breath of fresh air the second I walked in. Never thought I'd trust an estate agent to look after anything, but everyone in their office was honest, reliable, trustworthy and NORMAL compared to other agents.

Both on the phone and in person, I was treated with utmost respect - you can actually have a normal conversation with them person-to-person without being fed a load of nonsense about markets and prices etc etc. They listen carefully to what it is you want, take time getting to know you and have good ideas about properties and what you might like. You feel like you are getting more of a personal service.

They pulled their weight chasing up papers, queries and keeping everybody happy. On a stressful move day when I was panicky and probably a monster to deal with, they kept me calm, sorting out my doddering solicitor and my sellers solicitor to make it all happen. Totally professional in every way, they didn't put a foot wrong during the WHOLE process - not one thing. I feel very lucky to have been able to buy from them, and I will definitely use them when I come to sell/buy in the future, as they are so different to other agents.

Worked wonders with finding me my flat in Brixton! Great friendly staff and an easy no hassle process. (Which is something we all like when looking for a place) :)
