i paid a holding deposit on a flat and was told a gurantor of 31k would be needed, i provided that- and was then told it was incorrect and a gurantor of 37k would be needed OR two months rent would need to be paid upfront. i then provided a gurantor of 47k- and was then told id also need to pay 2 months rent upfront (+ deposit). a flat that costs 2100month in bethnal green. bffr

because of this back and forth and ridiculous change of terms ive backed out and now the agent (Nadeem) is refusing to refund my holding deposit..claiming its out of his control and is no longer replying to my messages (update. he blocked me :)) They further breached the holding deposit contract right at the beginning- by putting the property back on the market AFTER i had paid the holding deposit to remove it from the market- thinking we didnt notice- and are now stating because of the contracts they cannot refund. make it make sense. stay. away. yall have been warned

Rented a property with Elkay for a year. Awful service. Stay away. Updated 12/05/22 if Oliver Smit's comment was about me I am not a racist at all and he was NOT my neighbour. It is clear defamation. I didn't live on old street either! Another fake review by Elkay! Stay clear!

The firm has no sense of people-first attitude or professionalism with regard to the customer. They talk to you like they're doing you a favour and they can't be bothered! Stay away as a renter.
