With a background in insurance; mainly in the property sector, I had always been keen to be more directly involved in property, so when the opportunity arose at Mile Estates to work in such a vibrant area of London it was an easy decision to make when considering the career change. After spending many years as a Saturday member of staff, I had some time out gaining experience and knowledge in different industries. My career moved into the nineties seeing my first recession and now seeing my second a few of years ago. Team came together with two ideas. 1. Something for us all to become more active as a team & 2. Raise money together for an honourable cause. What better solution than to combine the two! If we were going to do this, we really wanted to challenge ourselves, and what greater challenge than for 10 running novices to attempt a half marathon within 7 months!
