After going through so many mortgage advisors and almost giving up, Jaz helped me to secure a mortgage when it felt impossible. I cannot recommend Jaz at Chess Mortgages enough. She was incredibly professional and extremely dedicated to seeing my mortgage application through. I have used Bob & his team for numerous mortgages since 2008 when my father introduced me to him. In fact every mortgaged property I have has at one point been mortgaged or re-mortgaged by Bob & the team at Chess. They always get the job done. Last year, I wanted to make a purchase. Due to condition of the property Bob advised that a bridging loan was the only real option.

We would then need to refurb & let the property and then apply for a re-mortgage (BRR). Jaz was absolutely excellent and very approachable. She took care of everything. Jaz also managed to obtain a re-mortgage on a separate property I own alongside the BRR. I cannot recommend these guys enough. I have only liaised with Jaz since last year on the above mentioned financing. However, she is a credit to Chess and Bob! Thanks guys!

I came across Bob Singh from Chess Mortgages via the Professional Asian group on Facebook. After seeing him being repeatedly recommended with the tag "he's the man who can" I decided to contact him after being disheartened having tried to get a mortgage for over a year. To say our case was complex is putting it mildly AND during the height of the COVID lockdown.

Without any false promises or pushy sales tactics, Bob did indeed deliver & rightfully deserves the title of "the Man who Can". Bob and his team stepped in at very short notice to assist us when we were in danger of missing out on our perfect home due to our current lender's borrowing rules. We were also impressed with advice we had seen Bob provide on a forum which initially led us to him, which was clear and sensible. It was only later we found out that Chess were award winning mortgage advisors and I can see why.

They outlined the initial plan in less than 24 hours and then did all the legwork in finding us the best deals, managing the process from beginning to end, moving things along much quicker than we would have been able to do ourselves directly. They also took the pain out of dealing with the lenders ourselves, something I remember from our first application years ago as highly stressful, and they also knew all the right questions to ask and the best way to position our application to ensure we had the best chance at securing the deals we needed to buy in very short timescales.

They are very knowledgeable, professional and pragmatic and are able to advise on the best way to structure the deals. Without a doubt, we would not have been able to buy our home without their assistance. Ultimately, you get what you pay for and they were well worth it. My wife and I would definitely recommend them and we will certainly be using them again going forward.

I'll never likely go direct again, as going through a good broker/advisor will save you thousands in the long run especially when they search whole of market. Excellent service.
