A Landlord's perspective - whilst I can see from other reviews that Whitman's appear to do a good job with respect to selling properties my experience as a landlord has been quite different. I have been a landlord for 19 years however chose Whitman's to manage my property whilst living overseas. Sadly communication was extremely poor and I often had to chase things up.

There were several errors made from check in/out fees to having to go to tenancy dispute for the first time ever to over charging on incorrect internal repairs. I ended up managing many of the issues directly with my tenants as the agent did not reply to emails. It was an unnecessary stressful time and I am glad it is over. I would not recommend Whitman's to manage your property if you are renting it out. Spend a little more on management fees and you will probably have more peace of mind.

We used whitman and co to sell our house on graham road, w4. we appointed them due to their hugely dominant market share and therefore applicant flow. in the end we found that this resulted in an extensive field of interested parties, and in addition they also provided a great level of service and attention throughout. Its great to see a well established business still behaving like a new business in terms of energy, drive and service. I would certainly recommend their services to others

Sadly, my experience with these estate agents is quite negative - I made an offer on a property, when I called a few days later to increase it, I was told there are so many bids, they don't 'care' about my bid. I also got to know that the agent showing me around was wrong about the date for best and final bids (it's always interesting when one agent undermines their colleague).

A few days later, another agent (agent number 3) called asking for my best and final. a week later, I've asked for an update and didn't get any response but they managed to update the website that the property is under offer. That's how I got to know that I didn't get it. Poor form. So overall, not a great experience and slightly chaotic approach.

Whitman Estate Agents have just sold my Chiswick property for me. There were many viewings in a short space of time, with the house selling quickly for a fair price. The service was professional, efficient and friendly throughout, making the sales process very easy for me.
