Full of broken promises!
They have harassed, threatened to use physical violence on and illegally evicted tenants. They sign unsuspecting tenants into Lodger's agreements on a false premise in order to attempt to diminish their rights as Assured Shorthold Tenants, although the landlord is not resident at the premises.
Unsatisfactory tenant selection. Abysmally managed rental collection and payment to landlord. Failed to pass on rent, tenants deposit for damage. Ombudsman agreed but they also refused to pay damages.
Having put an offer in on a property which was accepted we got a survey of the property. The surveyor was not given full access to the property but flagged some concerns which we expressed to the sales team. They dismissed this but agreed for the surveyor to go back for the areas he could
I have had terrible trouble with this letting agent. They are always way behind with passing on rent despite the tenant having paid it (we're talking 2 months +). They don't return calls, don't reply to emails and to top it off their so-called professional workmen charge ridiculous amounts
I decided to list my property with House Hut after being recommended them by a friend. Visiting their site, it was immediately apparent they must be doing something right to have been short-listed for estate agent of the year so many times. I have had mixed experiences with estate agents in
What can I say about this company! We complained to The Property Ombudsman in the end after logic and reason (on our part at least) failed to resolve the problems directly. We were awarded compensation for the "aggravation, distress and inconvenience" caused, they certainly did not act with
Regret ever renting through this company. We were small details about the property that were untrue just to get us to sign. The Landlord even hated dealing with them but bought it through them so was tied in. Whilst living there they were ok. It was managed by them so we had contact them.
Need an Estate Agent – Don't use Haybrooks! I have just completed my house sale with Haybrooks in Barnsley and I would advise anyone to stay away from them. The problems started almost immediately. 1. The person who came to value the house was a very good salesman and convinced us to go with
Initial enquiries went well, Nick seemed enthusiastic about the house, and suggested listing it at a higher price than the other two agencies who had seen it...so the photos were duly taken and onto the market it went. After FIVE months, only half a dozen viewings and one derisory offer Nick
This agency actually dealt with my initial enquiries in a polite and professional way. However, that bit was clearly the easy part and is how they reel in clients. There's so much negative to say about this agency. With the exception of their interpreter, I found them brusque and dismissive
In the 21st Century you feel traditional values have been swept aside, but I found this not to be the case with Neville Turner Estate Agency. They gave us an honest appraisal based on years of understanding The west Berkshire housing market. All the way through the sales process, we received
First viewing went well. Shortly afterwards received an email explaining that we are not deemed to be priority customers and that viewings will therefore no longer be possible during the weekend (which is the only time we are available to view). As a result, we won't be buying through this
The arrogant, dishonest, inconsistent advice of this company is beyond belief. Avoid at all costs.
We had a property for sale & whilst there was no hurry for us to sell, we didn't necessarily want to have the house on the market for ever as it was empty. We met with a few estate agents & were surprised by the services Douglas Allen provided. The branch manger, James Fitness, became involved
These Estates Agents should not be allowed to trade. They should be closed at once! Someone, please take notice. They begun a war of attrition on a family. Ellisons in conjunction with others, devised schemes and ways of taking the deposit, and evicting the tenant through a bunch of lies. They
Spotted a property for sale with JH Jones in November 2012, arranged to view and after the viewing offered the asking price as a cash buyer, then after providing proof of my funds (which I have never had to do before) I waited and waited, then I was told they had received an offer above the
If there was an award for the most unprofessional and biased Estate Agent, Burlington Residential on Arthur Road would win hands down! Not only did they fail to keep us updated on our offer that we put up to the Landlord they failed to mention specifics which we deal breakers and or negotiable!
They took a lot of care when taking photos of my home so it looks its best. Photos are brilliant. Great little video tour shows my house in a different way to other agents. Fees are good value too. Nice people to deal with.
To pay a small unknown agent money upfront to sell my house, you can say I was very sceptical to say the least. But Alex took the time to explain various payment options, and talked through what was included and all the additional service and marketing options they offered. When I compared
Accepted our offer, insisted on a quick exchange, and then - once we had incurred survey, mortgage and legal fees - delayed on providing lease paperwork for 6 months, before re-marketing the property, only at a price that was 20% higher than previously agreed. The owners of Braithwait seem
Poor customer service, dreadful communications!! Would never use this company again!!! I would never recommend this company to others!!!
For over two months I was messed about by Entwistle Green Cleveleys regarding a property I had wanted to buy, they sent me to partner company 'Countrywide' to get a survey done having requested 'assurance' this was a Freehold property. This was incorrect, only when the solicitor got involved
Philip James Wilson are brilliant. They really take the stress out of moving and are excellent in all respects. I am not normally one to write reviews but feel compelled to because of the amazing service we got and want to pass this on to prospective buyers in the Stockport area. I've summarised
I have used this company recently to sell my mothers house and rent out another property for me and i was very impressed. They were very efficient and professional at dealing with all my property needs in Hendon. Thank you
Seymours looked after the top of our chain, a small chain that consisted of 2 properties, our buyer’s property sold through Seymours and our property sold through Richmonds. Once my wife and I had finally found the property that we wanted (a difficult task due to an extensive wish list) we
Ellisons lettings wimbledon. First and foremost for all to be aware. They are very, very good at taking their fee upfront for the year which is in excess of J1300.00. If the tenant moves out after six months breaking contract they will only off set a discount if you use them again. This only
My experience with Winkworth Estate agent in Forest Hill horrible when I brought a house from them. Let me just highlight a few areas: 1. On making my first offer it was rejected; however, they never sent an official letter to confirm this. 2. Then later called up saying that another client
My experience with Winkworth Estate agent in New Cross Gate was nearly traumatic when I tried to buy a house and I would imagine it to be as bad for renting. It took us nearly a year to get the house after we identified it as the house we wanted. First of all we had an estate agent who had
I obtained a couple of quotations prior to making my decision to appoint an Estate Agent to sell my home. During the visit by Mike Wilson from Philip James Wilson, he immediately impressed me by bringing with him, a personalised Report which outlined exactly what I needed to know about his
We decided to sell our house in Heaton Moor late in 2010, sooner than we had planned but in response to the cooling of the market and gloomy prospects for sales in 2011. We interviewed several agents and selected Philip James Wilson - we liked their approach, thoroughness and longer opening
Useless. In 1 year: Moved into filthy flat - apparently "professionally cleaned". 3 months to restore central heating in Winter. 1 month to fix a shower. 4 months to lay a floor resulting in bedroom doors no longer be able to be closed. Cheap contractors used - laid carpet over stones,
Having previously advertised my property with another agent, I changed after eight weeks and wished that I had initially marketed my property with Philip James Wilson. The quality of the photographs were the best I have seen on the internet, sales staff were in contact with feedback within
Phillip James have offered a well priced package with excellent support from staff who were are well knowledged with their customers. Would recommend.
PJW's could not have done more to make our house sale happen. The staff were always polite and helpful. They kept us fully informed all the way through the process and moved the solicitors on to ensure the chain of sales did not break. I would definitely use this estate agent again.
The Philip James Wilson branch in Heaton Moor offered a great service when selling my property for me. I chose them due to theri superior marketing, competitive pricing and knowledge of the area, I was also really impressed with the service they offered in the Reddish area with Nicola Siddiqi.
Very happy with service indeed. Regular updates and pushed everything through as quickly as possible. Highly recommended.
Getting the valuation right for your property is crucial in this market. The research they had done meant that when Philip James marketed the property, I had a good offer within a week which I accepted. Would have no hesitation in selling (or buying) from them in the future. Thanks...
Just over 12 months ago we made the decision to sale our home, as this was the first time we had done this we asked around our family and friends for some good companies. When every person come back with a different estate agent we decided we may need to do a bit more research. So we took
We recently used Philip James Wilson to market and sell a large vacant residential property in Stockport. The sale process was lengthy partly due to the condition of the property and level of refurbishment required - thus limiting its appeal. However, at all times PJW demonstrated a professional
I dealt with the Philip James Wilson practice over a period of months selling my house. I found the staff in the branch office pushed to sell the property in a quiet market, followed up on leads on potential vendors and kept me updated with regular calls & e-mails. They toured potential buyers
Nicola - Thank you for all your help and support during the sale of my house. You were always readily available to talk to and you kept me updated at every step. I would not hesitate to recommend Philip James to anyone because the service was second to none from start to finish. Many thanks
Mylers where ment to be looking after my houses, houses wrecked no checks, never get rent on time if at all.
Really bad experience with this Estate Agent. Property was advertised for rental on a website (free) which doesn’t get a lot of exposure to potential tenants / buyers. Sent three viewers to see the house which were unsuitable. There seemed to be no real interest in the property after weeks
I’m writing to tell you about very bad service I have recently received from Howard Estates - http://www.howardestates.co.uk which I feel potential customers and the market have a right to know before dealing with such an incompetent and discourteous people. They took me to see a property
Colin Bibra estate agents are awful! This event can be demonstrated through a catalogue of errors from start to finish: - when we arrived at the property the estate agent was late and arrived with another customer which made us very uncomfortable. - when we rang to ask about the break clause
After moving into a property run by Square mile they said they would fix a few little things, which they never did. After a year they tried to put the rent up by a huge amount so we decided to move out, after 6 months of moving out we have still not had our deposit back they tried to say we
Disgusted with this company. They lie, they bully and they extort. They told fairly tail stories about the property, the attempted to extort a huge deposit out of me without actually telling me the costs and time after time they told me "these are all the costs". Every time I wanted it in writing
In spring 2010 we decided to sell our property in Leckhampton. After a couple of disappointing valuation/marketing experiences with two of the larger Cheltenham based agents my partner suggested trying Perry Bishop as she had noticed that they seemed to be successfully closing a lot of sales
Avoid this estate agent at all costs. They failed to inform me of the simplest of things such as tenants late rent payments - communication was awful. They employed contractors that charged extortionate prices and got the job wrong. When I complained the manager left a message on my answer
