Powell & Jones - Bridgend

The firm was established in 1923 by Walter Powell. At that time, in addition to private treaty sales, he dealt with auctions, was a farmer and a coal merchant. How times have changed! Robert J. Powell, Walter's son, joined the firm in 1937, but served in the army from 1940 to 1946. During the war, Walter died. The firm was restarted by Robert Powell in 1946 and was built up into the major firm dealing with residential property in the area.
